"Illustrations or Photography for Covers?"

I’m debating whether to use illustrations or photography for my next affordable Book cover Design services. It’s a young adult fantasy novel, so both options could work, but I’m unsure which would appeal more to my audience.

What are your thoughts? Have you experimented with either style? Did one work better for sales or audience engagement?
